Paying With A Picasso

Trust and Wealth Management Blog has this post commenting on a New York Times article about a British law that allows people to pay their estate taxes with items of "historical and artistic significance" instead of cash.  The "Acceptance in Lieu" program is interesting, but I think in a period where the government is already operating at a deficit, here in the U.S. we should stick to paying our taxes in dollars, not Degas.
