Legacy Delayed May Be Legacy Denied
Why do I always seem to post more about estate planning than business planning, asset protection, etc.? The answer may lie in the fact there is so much more misinformation about estate planning. Plus, sometimes estate planning has juicier gossip, as in this article on an estate plan that did not pay out a legacy until almost 100 years later. It seems to smack of spite, as in "I don't like my kids and grandkids." Okay, I can understand that, but why not then go to support charities or institutions who promote your values instead of people who will be born long after you die and whose only connection is a diluted bloodline?
